Our group is dedicated to the cutting-edge research in nanotechnology and biotechnology. Our goal is to understand living cells from the engineering perspective, i.e. mechanics, controls, and design, in the hope to control them as engineered-machines, and to drive disease treatment with the lessons learned from natural systems. Specifically, our research centered on micro/nanorobotics and its applications in single cell engineering. We emphasize both the technological advancement in our design and development of engineered nanosystems with high throughput and pin-point accuracy, and basic scientific research in understanding single cell biophysics and cell-cell interactions.
